The Composition Program
Overview
The Composition Program at the University of Pittsburgh offers not only the required seminar in composition but also a wide range of undergraduate courses, a certificate program in Public and Professional Writing, and a doctoral program and a graduate certificate program in Composition: Literacy, Pedagogy, Rhetoric. It sponsors a Writing Center for students, a Writing Across the Curriculum program for faculty across the university, and works with teachers in the schools through the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project.
