Paul Kameen teaches pedagogy and composition theory in the graduate curriculum and a variety of composition, literature and creative writing courses in the undergraduate curriculum. His scholarly interests range from Greek rhetoric to contemporary poetics.
Research and Publications: He is the author of Writing/Teaching: Essays Toward a Rhetoric of Pedagogy (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2000). His current book project, Re-reading Poets: The Life of the Author, is completed and in submission. He has published numerous articles on composition and rhetoric. His poetry has appeared in a wide range of small magazines and journals.
Honors and Awards: He is the winner of the 2002 CCCC Outstanding Book Award for Writing/Teaching: Essays Toward a Rhetoric of Pedagogy. He is a recipient of the Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award (2004), and the Tina and David Bellet Teaching Excellence Award (2001).
