Mark Kemp teaches and writes about literature of the Americas, including the United States and Canada, and has published articles on Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, Michael Ondaatje, Margaret Atwood, and Paul Auster. He received his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996.
