Jeff Oaks teaches poetry. The author of two chapbooks, The Unknown Country (State Street Press, 1992) and The Moon of Books (Ultima Obscura Press, 2000), he has published poems in literary magazines like Southern Poetry Review, Nimrod, Cumberland Poetry Review, and 5 a.m. In addition, he's won two Academy of American Poets Prize two fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and, this year, a fellowship from the Pittsburgh Foundation.
