Patsy Sims
Associate Professor of English
Patsy Sims has published four nonfiction books, including The Klan and Can Somebody Shout Amen!: Inside the Tents and Tabernacles of American Revivalists. She is the recipient of National Endowment for the Arts creative writing fellowship, two Associated Press awards for investigative reporting, and an Academy Award nomination for the documentary, "The Klan: A Legacy of Hate." She teaches creative nonfiction, research and interviewing techniques, contemporary nonfiction readings, and various related courses. She is the editor of a forthcoming anthology of literary nonfiction to be published by Oxford University Press and is working on a book about a Texas prison.
