Danielle Koupf

Assistant Professor, Department of English, Wichita State University

I’m very grateful that the structure of the English department at Pitt encourages cross-disciplinary thinking. Studying composition in an integrated department prompted me to explore the connections among literature, creative writing, literacy studies, and composition. I was able to pursue big questions about reading, writing, and English curricula in my research, teaching, and committee work. My advisers continually pushed me to imagine innovative new ways of teaching and conceiving of English studies.
