Joseph Harris

Joe Harris directed the Pitt Composition Program from 1993–99 and the Duke University Writing Program from 1999-2009. He's the author of five books, including Rewriting: How to Do Things with Texts, A Teaching Subject: Composition from 1966, and The Work of Teaching Writing: Learning from Fiction, Film, and Drama.
