Nic's Affiliations: Steel City Organizers for Radical Community Health

Nic Marsellas (she/they) has been teaching courses in First Year Writing and Public and Professional Writing at Pitt since 2016. She is a scholar of rhetoric and composition with research interests in protest movements, LGBT+ issues, disability, and medicine. She asks that her students take their writing seriously; her teaching style emphasizes the importance of precise and specific language alongside engaging discussions and student-led projects. Dr. Marsellas is also involved in the CEAT teacher training program, supporting first-time instructors in the English department.
