Nora Fussner

  • Visiting Lecturer

Nora Fussner’s debut novel, The Invisible World, was described as a “unique and outstanding novel” by Booklist and “a masterpiece of innovative storytelling and psychological horror” by Library Journal. In the Sunday New York Times Book Review, Jennifer Harlan wrote, “Fussner’s haunted house turns out to be a bit of a Trojan horse, carrying deeper questions about how narratives are controlled, and how much the “real” version of events depends on who is doing the framing.” Nora’s teaching career began at the City University of New York and she has taught at Pitt since 2018. She has been a consultant at the Writing Center since 2019.
