Deborah has taught undergraduate courses primarily within the Public and Professional Writing Program (PPW). She has also taught first-year composition. Those include courses in the First-year Engineering Composition Program from its inception in concert with the Swanson School of Engineering. Deborah’s Seminar in Composition themes include The Literary Essay; The Science and Culture of Argument; Engineering; and Education. Freshman Seminar/Learning Communities themes include Transnational Religious and Spiritual Literature as well as Culture, Identity, and Native America. Other courses include Writing for the Public, Written Professional Communication, Engineering Communication in a Professional Context and various workshops and tutorials for the Writing Center and the Office of International Services.
