Briana Bindus, The Fifth Floor’s associate editor, is a sophomore double-majoring in Communications and English Literature, and pursuing a Bachelor of Philosophy. She also works as a staff writer for The Pitt News and has served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in a range of English courses, including Women and Literature and Computational Methods for the Humanities.
Briana’s passion for writing arose all the way back in elementary school, where she excelled—thus deciding to turn this skill into her lifelong path. She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, a literary honor society, and Phi Sigma Pi, a gender-inclusive honors fraternity. Her literary passions lie in feminist theory and LGBTQ+ representation, and in examining how literature reflects aspects of reality. She hopes to one day get her PhD and go into a publishing career while working as a college professor.
